SCOTLAND V GERMANY 07 JUN 03
A crunch match for Scotland who needed at least a point to keep in contention but were written off by many pundits before the match in the light of recent friendly match performances. The Scots fought tremendously well and subdued the German threat. However it was the visitors who took the lead in 22 minutes with Fredi Bobic heading in from close range. Scotland came back immediately and kept probing for openings but had to wait until the 68th minute when Colin Cameron's quick free kick was pounced on by Kenny Miller who fired home the equaliser. Despite a few scares near the end with Rab Douglas required to save at full stretch the Scots held on for a deserved point.
